My name is Katara Brown

I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, In a small village close to the city. I have a rather big family with lots of siblings. I'm currently 24 years old, living in Chicago. I am based in Chicago, but I love to travel.

Inspiration

My inspiration comes from nature, Jesus, movies, paintings, novels, and that's just to name a few. I truly get inspired from those around me and the love that we share. Also, from the work of my photography peers. My style derives from what it feels like to be in that moment, at that location, the involvement, the emotion, the movement. I hope to one day be able to say that my work looks like a movie.

Interesting Fact

Not only am I a photographer, I'm also a certified lash technician. Fun fact about my family is that my sisters are all in the beauty industry, so it was bound that I found a love in all things beauty as well. Another fact about me is that I used to model. I started to realize that I loved what goes on behind the camera instead of being in front of it. But after attending Coco Rocha's model camp, I've taken lots of knowledge with me that I can apply to my own models :)
